Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Football Association president has announced that all clubs in coimbatore will come together to conduct football matches soon.

The general body meeting of the Coimbatore District Football Association was held at a private hotel hall on Avinashi Road.

It was attended by the new office bearers of the association. Ajit Lalmohan, who has been sworn in as the new president, was speaking to reporters.

He said that he would soon hold football matches in Coimbatore by merging all the clubs. He said that he has formulated various action plans to identify talented young footballers in Coimbatore district and make Coimbatore district one of the best football sports hubs in Tamil Nadu. Moreover, in coimbatore district, talented players who are in poor positions in rural areas have been identified during the student period itself.

The District Football Association has now made an effort to make them state and national level players. He expressed confidence that coimbatore players will definitely be part of the teams participating in national and international football tournaments in the future.

Coimbatore District Football Association President Ajith Kumar Lal Mohan inaugurated the rolling trophy competition for girls organized by Coimbatore District Football Association. Bharathiar University Registrar Murugavel and Kumaraguru Arts College Principal Vijila Kennedy participated in the function. Venue: Kumaraguru College Campus, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore.
